Is it good to get mod a ps2 to run copy.please tell me disadvantages of mod chip

Please tell me the diadvantages of mod chip matrix infinity please give me answwers in detail as i am a newbie to ps2. thanks.

Pros - Playing copied DVDs Cons - Might be illegal by law. Can't think of any other cons and pros really.

PROS - you can play DVD copied games (cheapest way of playing). CONS - yes it is illegal. PS2 modding voids the warranty of the unit. Some DVD copied game is hard to be read by PS2 lens (sometimes it fails to read the disc structure). It will only destroy the reading ability of your lens.

Well, as said disavantadges are that it can be legal but then again who's ever got caught by having a chip inside their consoles? Not so many people I'd guess. So go for it, you'll get access to much more games and spend much less.
