How important is the Internet to your life?

You know something? I can't even remember what I did before Internet. I know I used to watch TV or read a book or chat on the phone. But none of these things seem to be that important now. Of course I still love reading books and I do that when theres no computer in front of me. But now, I cannot imagine living without the internet and I'm sure I'll become a screaming, raving loony if someone decided to do away with the internet or ban it something. So what do you think? How important is the internet in your life? and how did you keep youfself occupied before internet?

The internet has become an important part of my life. I often use, not to say need to use, the internet. It's not something that I really plan on happening or anything like that. It just happened!

You're so right dodo. We didn't plan on it, but it just happened. There was a time when I thought the computer was a bore, then came the internet and sometimes I wish it would start to get boring so that I won't spend so much time on it.

The internet is very important to me. I research information, keep in touch with old friends, make new friends, earn money or points towards gifts...But I could live without it okay. I'm a big reader, although I haven't read a lot in the last couple of years. I know I'd miss the internet, but probably not to the extent that most people on mylot would.

Hi AmbiePam. I too used to use the internet a lot for research and other work while I was working. But now I find myself doing it mostly for fun and that's what has become addictive. But I really should take a lesson from you guys and limit my hours on the internet and start giving more prominence to other important work. Thanks a lot.

I used to read books alot and do puzzle books. I used to listen to CD's and play on my Playstation a lot more. I played on my Gameboy a lot too but I guess that's how long ago I haven't used the internet. I used to watch TV too but probably about the same amount as I do now, maybe a bit less as was at school 5 days a week. I spend so much time on the internet now it is sad, but recently I have been cutting my time down on it and making an effort to get done other things so I don't find myself having been on the computer all day which is what used to happen and I really didn't like it.

That's good pinklemonade. You're are starting to balance your life again and not get on the internet forever. Good for you. I think I too should do that. We should never let any one thing take over our entire life. Thanks for the response.

Hey, I think that the Internet is quite important in my life, without it I don't really know what I would do. But to tell you the truth, without Internet, I think that my life would be totally boring, I wouldn't know what to actually do. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Hey, Well I think that the internet is really quite important in my life. I personally use the internet every single day, and I post on MyLot every single day so I feel quite good. If the Internet wouldn't exist, life would be much harder for me. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

The internet has become an important part of my life. Personally, it is my way of keeping touch with people. I work odd hours, so while I would rather call someone on the phone, I don't think they would like to hear from me in the wee hours of the morning. So I can keep in touch via email or IM. From a business perspective, it is very important. I keep tabs on clients, do bookkeeping and banking, and answer emails all online. I feel lost when the internet is down or I can't get to what I need. I still do alot of the things I did before there was internet, like watch TV, read books, listen to music. The internet has just become much more important than it used to be.

having the internet makes me a better conversationalist. It makes me share information/s that I have learned that I come across as I am browsing various sites. The internet also helps me in finding references especially when I am about to buy a gadget from store. Oh, and it also help me make friends=)
