Do you feel that women are considered equivalent to men in current world? Are females still treated below males and not given proper respect? Comment. How you treat females? And females tell me do you feel that people treat you equivalent to males?

Hello mastinet, honest answer? Well, I like girls. I like their sweet voice (though young boys also have that kind of voice before it breaks). And I like the way they dress and pretty themselves up. I like their shining gowns, and I like thier tiny hands loaded with tiny little bangles. I even like the way they try to help in household chores with hands barely able to hold the vessels. :-) Having said that would I adopt a girl child. No. Why not? It is a big responsibility. In our country as u already know that we have dowry system. I wouldnt like my baby to go thru that. I wouldnt like my little girl to be rejected by a guy not fit to even talk to her when people sit around to arrange her marriage. There is a lot of humiliation in store for a girl child as she grows up. And though it sounds negative, that is the way I am on this subject. Every body tries to pass on their girl child, as they all know the implications. I'd however, not mind a mentally challenged girl child. I could pour all my love on that child, expecting nothing in return, and be happy at the thought that she doesnt realize how much the world is humiliating her. And I'd be happy enough to be there for her, rather than leave my sane child at the mercy of people who will turn her insane.

Men and women are equal but that does not seem to be true in all countries. Women in some places are still struggling with different circumstances. In some families the daughter doesnot have equal opportunity and equal choices as the son. The son is always reserved the first place. Married women are limited for some rights. They are not allowed to go out to a party without their husband's permission. In order to leave the house for any work, they have to discuss and got an approval from their husbands. Their are certain rules that women have to follow after they get married.

Females are not treated equivalent to males, females are first seen for their beauty and almost always associated with the home and family, whereas the men stands for the provider only. Being a woman I am proud of who I am and I do not wish to change myself to get a better position.

I partially agree with you. Because at most of the places women are now getting equivalent status. Women are now working in every field, whether it is research or administrative. They are working in petrol pumps and working in MNCs also. Days have changed a lot. Women are now not only thought of as a beauty icon they are now full technocrats.

Hi mastinet days have changed a lot than before and in many fields Women are treated equal to men.. In work place also there are more chances for females than males but still there are few peoples who does not consider us to equal to them because they still want to dominate females.. but compared to our grand parents and parents generation things have changed a lot pretty well..

I agree that in current era women have created an equivalent space for them in comparison to men. They are now more independant and self confident. They know how to tackle tough situations. Men have also changed their minds and are giving respect and equal status to women. Even old generation people have also accepted this change in todays women. They are also happy with this. Many places are still there where women are still dominated but very soon this also gets cleared.
