NVIDIA 8800GT,hands down the best value out there right now. It's basically the same damn thing as a 9600GT with a few slight differences. If anything ,the 8800GT is a slightly better card. And its so cheap. To know rates just search in any search engine.

Hey, Yea their are some really neat graphics cards out their such as the nVidia Quadro series and others. Personally I prefer nVidia over ATI, since I have had some bad experience with ATI chipsets. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

I will recommend you to buy an NVIDIA graphics card.also while buying keep some important details in mind like: First: What port does it have i.e. if it has VGA port or DVI port.if you have old monitor go for VGA but if your monitor that support DVI port go for it. Second: The graphics card RAM, buy a graphics card with at least 512MB RAM, as modern games require more ram to run properly. Third: Buy graphics card according to the support of your Motherboard.Consult the dealer about the graphics card that you are going to buy if that will support your board or not. Fourth: Proper cooling of the cabinet otherwise it may get burned(not Normally, but it is better to take it as a precaution).

There are various types of graphics cards available in the market....Of course Nvidia has good graphics card, but when it comes to performance versus price ATI Radeon is also a great challenger. BTW, though there are many different cards available, it would be good to know the motherboard that you are using, as different motherboard supports. There are different types of graphics cards namely; integrated, AGP, PCI and PCI-e..Blah blah. Also you need to take into account the type of games you usually play while choosing a graphic card. The best card in the market at present may run most of the games smoothly with great performance and graphics, but who knows it might have trouble with a specific game that you like playing. Lots of resources are there in the internet...try googling it and i am sure you did find a great card.
