Lamentations 1 & 2 Lamentations is a group of five sad songs most likely written by Jeremiah. Some of these songs verses start with a different letter of the Hebrew alphabet. These were written after Jerusalem was destroyed and God's people had lost about everything. The people are now realizing they are being punished for their sins. But these people as well as we ourselves have to learn that even when bad things happend it is alright for us to feel bad but God still loves us even in these bad times. God bless you! That sounds like what many countries are going through now- America too. Although I don't think God is punishing us directly, we're paying for our own follies. Our arrogance and poor choices, especially when placing people in positions of authority, has led us to, well, this. But God never abandons us, thank goodness!
