I have a lot of used books and have taken them half priced books, but really feel they are ripping me off. Are there other ways to make money from selling these?

I've made quite a bit of money from selling my books on Amazon.com. I first started out trying to sell old textbooks from classes that the bookstore wouldn't take back or would try and take back for a $1 when I paid $80. I got rid of those and now I've sold books that I just have around the house that are taking up space. If I don't use it or don't like it, I put it up on Amazon to sell. Sometimes the books stay there for awhile but sometimes I'm surprised and the books sell pretty fast. Amazon takes a small chunk of your sale fees but I think it pales in comparison to how much you actually make from some of the books you sell on their.

I've looked at Amazon and it does seem they charge a lot. I'll compare and see what I can make. Thanks.

Yes, you can sell your books online or offline will do if the pages are still complete and usable but if not, you can try selling them at junk shops.

Why not have a book renting business instead. That way, you get to keep your books and share them on the same time. Just start with friends and families first. Anyone who ruins the book needs to either pay for it or replace it. You'll never know unless you try ;p

Try selling them on Amazon or ebay. I usually buy all my used textbooks from amazon they have pretty good deals.
