Funny Police stories?

I have never encountered a funny police story, in fact some police make me nervous, the young wannabees looking for the big promotions type of police officers.

I had an encounter with a police officer several years ago that still feels like it was yesterday. Mind you, this was probably 1979-80. I was a teenager riding in that back of a pickup truck with a couple other people my age on our way to church choir practice (swear to God! lol). We were just goofing around, you know. Typical teenage antics. Well....a highway patrolman passed us on the left and I decided, keeping in form with our playful antics, to make a gesture with my hand towards the patrolman as he passed. We all laughed hysterically about it! Next thing we knew, he pulled our pickup over. Made me get out of the back and stand there while he talked to the driver about me. He asked her if I had mental problems, was unstable and things like that. lol. We were just playing around, you know?!!? Scared the bejeezus out of me, I'll tell you that! I don't remember what he said to me when he was, more or less, convinced by the driver that I was of sound mind. Something that deflated me to a jiggling blob of a combination of shame and shear terror. lol. I was only 12 or so. He was nice though..........in comparison to what can happen to a teen nowadays for similar behavior. Give them some pills and put them in some sort of detention. My how we've evolved!

Well I personally never encountered any funny police incident & infact I sometimes have the fear while thinking of police! no its not because I've done something wrong, May be its from the Movies that I got this feeling

Hello Citychic, Some cops can be real.....you know what, but then again I have met some real cool police officers. So here goes a Funny Story happened to me in 1995. I was traveling from Arizona to California, its in the middle of the night around 3 AM. I am trying to get to my Daughters house and mind you I am TIRED !!! I did not know how to get around California at all at that time and when I attempted to get onto the 91 freeway the on ramp was closed. darn...so I tried to follow the detour signs and got lost..I see a red signal light ahead of me and stop. WOW there is a police car right next to me with 2 Officers . I roll down the Window and ask how to get to the 91 freeway, the nice Officers tell me the way ..just make a right turn at the next light he said :-) Cool I said Thank you and take off...THE LIGHT WAS STILL RED !!! Right in the middle of the intersection I slam on my brakes, throw the car in reverse and back up to the police officers..they both look at me and try to hide their amusement..Licence and registration please the driver demands, I say uhhh...I am sorry...they both BUSTED out Laughing at me and waved for me to go on ..the light is green now the officer said. I stammered Thanks..and went on my way. I was embarrassed ..but How cool for them not to give me a ticket !!

well it really funny to pull the legs of the police department particularly the country like India where all the rubbish are associated with the police department they are always begging for bribes in every circumstance it does not matter whether the person have the capabilities to pay the amount or not one have to satisfy them as if they have the right to do it. Once I was on my two wheeler a police man asked for a lift and not the bribes because that's another story, the guy was heavy and fat as soon he sat on my bike... and I started to move forward slowly what happened is that the rear side of the bike got down and the front side wheel was up on the air and was on the move..... you can gauge the situation..... he was shouting... please stop I don't need the lift any further.... and so.... and ultimately when I managed to drop the front wheel... He ran for his life.... I smiled and took off....
