I did marry a man twice my age. He was even two years older than my mother. We had problems and did eventually divorce but his age had nothing to do with our marital problems unless it was the mindset he had because of his age. I'm not sure about that though. I would still be with him if he hadn't been caught stealing. That is one thing I can't stand, to be with someone dishonest. Now I am alone and have been for many years and it is okay, sometimes a little lonely but better than being with a thief.

I am in a relationship with almost 15 years older guy, he is not exactly twice my age, but I feel as I should respond here. I am 23, he is soon to be 38. I don't see him as any kind of father or whatsoever, he's my soul mate, my best friend, my lover... someone I can cry and I can laugh with. In him I found everything I have never found in any guy my age. His life experience gave him wisdom and thought him to have lots of patience and understanding. That's what I need and that's why I love him. We all have different needs, and I don't want to say that this has to be a unique way to happiness, I'm just sharing with you my personal experience. Of course, age difference can have its disadvantages, especially if you have different life plans and wishes, but I believe that love and understanding can solve it all.

If I really loved him, I might. I can't really be sure what I might do under these sort of circumstances, but there's a possibility that I might marry someone twice my age. It might have happened. However, I'll probably never know, as I'm currently engaged to someone, who is 3 years older.

tiwce my age? nope... i dont... maybe 5 or 10 years older than me is fine. besides i also like mature man for they are well determined and responsible already and i know that hey can take care of me and the kids. besides it really doesnt matter at all as long as i love him and we both love each other and not only for convenience.. and i dont think i can call it love if i marry the guy twice my age coz im already 30.. he will be like a dad to me lol..

I have a friend who is in her early 40s and her husband is now 70ish. They have always had a good relationship, but right off the bat, he didnt want any children mainly because it was a second marriage for him and he already had children. This is a first marriage for her and she has no children. At first, I don't think it was a problem, but as they have gotten older, I think she would have liked to have children, and she is now really seeing the difference in their ages. He is more of a home body and is retired with alot of time on his hands. They are just in different stages of life. For me, I would't want to be alone, so it would be a very difficult decision to marry someone much older than myself knowing that at a young age, I would have to care for someone much older and at some point be left alone.
