who will lead the test record of centuries n highest test record in future?
will Ponting be able to overtake the Sachin's record?

I say tendulkar is the best but as we see the present performances and the future scopes ponting will hold the test records and he is going to beat sachin's records because let us compare their performances
sachin played 159 tests scoring 12773 runs with an average of 54.58
Ponting played036 tests and scored 11345 runs with an average of 55.88
and also the age does matter sachin's age is already 36 while as ricky's it is 34 and australians usually retire at a later age than indians. the difference between their runs is 1000 with ponting having more chance of staying longer in test cricket than sachin he definitely has a chance to beat sachin
Unless domething happens suddenly that makes ponting retire from tests i hope that ponting beats sachins record in tests.

Well said MadugulaGopi. Well said. Ponting cannot even come near to Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin is the master class and no one can come near him. Though ponting is a good batsman, but you cannot compare him with Sachin. Master stands on top over all the others. There are two types of batsman in world cricket- One is Sachin and the Other is Rest o the batsmaen. Cheers:-)

tendulkar is way ahead of ponting ,if we see their records.
although tendulkar is a bit older than ponting,he still seems younger.
and the way he is playing,i dont think ponting will break the records that the master hav created.
sachin is truly the master of the game i dont think anyone can surpass him in the near future.

i wish tendulkar holds this record as he deserves it, ponting is a good player but not much than tendulkar.
we can say tendulkar is the king of cricket, his centuries are awsome, no one thought he should do something like this in future.
people say it right...big things come in same packets, with his size and personality , one can doubt that how could this person do a big thing for his country.

sachin records can never be broken by pointing. sachin may not increase his test 100's this year because, there are only few test matches to be played this year. so sachin may not increases his century's this year. well, coming to pointing, if he loses two more series, the Australian cricket board will through him out. i wish that Australia loses all series under his captaincy. sachin will surely make more than 50 century's for sure.
