Hi everyone! Yes, early today I attended my first day of class. I am excited and nervous at the same time cause this is the only time I’m going to attend school again after 15 years of being a graduate. It’s like I’m starting all over again and I’m feeling butterflies in my stomach. But everything went fine. I made friends at once. I had a little typing and found out for the first time my typing speed. The instructor says I am a bit fast for a beginner. I guess mylotting have helped me a lot to improve my typing skills. There was a little lecture too in English proficiency and I got a high score for a quick quiz we had. I am happy about that! All in all, I think I’m gonna like it in the class. I first thought that the school isn’t a good one. It’s not affiliated but it turned out to be better than the others cause they will help you find a job cause it’s a government project and the scholarship won’t be paid unless at least 60% of the class will be employed. Tomorrow I will be going to school again. I think it is scheduled purely about typing skills and I’ll surely gonna enjoy it cause I like to type a lot. How about you? Have you gone back to school again? Have you ever felt nervous in doing something that you haven’t done for such a long time?

Sure do. After I graduated in college, I got a job immediately after a series of interviews from different companies I applied to. Then I got married and was forced to stay home since my first born was (were...forgive me, I'm not sure which verb to use)twins.I have stayed too long at home (11 years to take care of my next child after the twins). And when my youngest turned 6..I know it was time for me to get back to work. And I had the most dreadful time of my life when I got my first interview again after 10,000 years. Anyway, wonder what kind of job do you do right now and why you are taking interest with med trans course. Is the course free?

Yes! Sybil the course is for free. It's a TESDA program and availed of their scholarship. Right now, I'm only having a part-time job. And I wanted to make use of my free time for something worthwhile that's why I decided to take the Med Trans Course. Someday I know I can do transcriptions and it would be nice that even if I stay at home most of my time, I still have work to do.

Very happy to hear about this. You are lucky to get back to your school days with a mature mind. Hope you don't fool around and get it wasted this time at least. You have a specific goal.

Oh yes capsicum I really like it a lot! And today I even had more friends hehe. I don't feel nervous anymore. The instructors are also friendly and we often laugh at school. It's such a nice feeling to be going back to school knowing it will expand my abilities and hopefully fill up some parts in my life that is missing and that would be excitement and new challenges!

Wow you inspired me I'm also want to study Medical Transcription but I don't have money to study again. I know that the government have a program in Tesda but some course that they offered are not for free. I also want to study again if I have a resources. I can't handle the stress of studying anymore after I'm graduated last 2004 I lost my interest to study again.

TESDA are having it but not that sure if it will be for free.they do have so many courses that are given now for free. but in our place its always full before we could get into it. and when you have a job you must still pay for the given course. that is what i know. i dont know how true. anyways, hope we could try it as well.. jhelai
