New Computer

My husband forgot to close the window over the office desk and it rained on our lap top, so needless to say we were in the market for a brand new computer. We've only owned a PC so we were a little skeptical when our friend told us about her Mac, we did some research and decided to give MAC a try. It arrived this wknd and to say that I'm impressed would be an understatement. We took it out of the box and setup was so easy since it has no tower. Our 24" screen is so sleek and modern. It was up and ready to use within 15 minutes. We're still learning the system but so far we are happy customers.

Congrats on the new computer. I myself have never tried a Mac. My stepson thinks Macs are better than PCs and don't crash as much. I have always used windows so that's what I'm used to and will probably stick with, but right now I have Vista and am not very satisfied with the set up. I am getting used to it though and it's not as bad as I first thought. Oh, and aren't the big screens for computers awesome? I have a 32" widescreen and it's terrific. Enjoy your new computer.

I like Windows too, but it is too vulnerable to virus. Once my XP laptop was infected with spyware virus, and I have to format the hard drive over again. All the sudden, I just switch to Linux. Greater than I thought.

well, what options you have, get a new one. If you can live without computers for a day. Accident happens, and you can't avoid it sometimes. Get a new Laptop and start over again.

Well, I guess that's the thing - learning the system. I've heard both good and bad things about mac, but I learned computers on Windows, I've always had windows and that's what I'm going ot stick with.

I don't have a Mac myself. Most of my life, I used Windows too, but I am recently learning about Linux. The very first Linux operating system I have is Ubuntu. I am trying to get used to it, and learn more from it.

Sounds like Mac is a good choice for you beginners. I never used Mac before, and I so curious about it too. I want to know if it really hard to use? I want to own one myself, but I just couldn't afford one right now. I already have two laptops on my hand.
