I have guinea pigs but I dont know how to take care of them.

My friend just bought 2 guinea pig in our house. But we dont know much how to take care of them. Can you help me like how much they eat in a day? How many times and how much they eat in one meal? What do they usually eat? How many times they should drink in a day?
The first day I just place them in a carton box. They started eating some part of the carton. Is it bad for them? Coz I know that even the carton is made from the trees it has some chemicals already, ayt?
Will you give me some advice like do's and dont's. Thanks a lot to those who will response. Thanks!

you can try buying them a screen cage or the ones that are plastic cage. i have never had a guinea pigs or even my kids have those as pets, but we had some rabbits before.
try googling this on how to take care of them, you can find more details on how to do it, and im sure there is a site there that has step step details on how to feed those little pets.
