Can cornflakes make you thin? Or is this some kind of myth? The adverts always mention good for diets in a round about way so what do you think?

a lot of factors come into play with cornflakes making one thin. if you're from a country that has rice as a staple food and you take rice for breakfast then substituting this staple food with corn flakes would definitely make one thinner. a cup of rice has 225 calories and most rice eaters eat more than a cup in one sitting. this still doesn't include the eggs, bacon, ham or whatnot we take with rice. i do believe that cornflakes, even with milk, has lesser calories than rice's 225.

Depends on what else you eat! They are low in fat, so if you had them for breakfast and lunch and then had something else for dinner, as many of these adverts suggest you should, then I would think you would definitely lose weight. Best not to pour loads of sugar and full fat milk on, though!
