Who should pay on the dates.

I know that this question has popped up a lot but I still need some clarification. According to you, who should pay for on the dates? In my personal opinion is that if a guy invites a girl out on a date, the guy must pay for the first date and afterward they will have to split the bill to be fair. Nowadays, it is easier for women to get jobs, so that will only be fair to split the bill. What do you think? Am I right?

I guess that i am old fashioned but i believe that the man should pay for dates, that is the way it has always been in my day. and i also believe that it should be up to the man to pay all the household expenses once he is married, and a womans place is to care for the house and children.
Nowadays i would be lost if i had to date. Because it is my belief that a man is supposed take care of a woman.
