Hi Everyone It wasn't until I was about 5 or 6 years old that I realized it was my mom and dad putting money uner my pillow And not the Tooth Fairy (my older brother who was 2 years older than me broke the news to me as gently as he was capable of. When I showed him the money and said look what the Tooth Fairy left me he said "That was mom and dad dummy" My brother took great pleasure in teasig me as a lot of older brothers do with their little sisters. lol I still wanted to believe in this magical flying fairy who came in my room at night when I was asleep and took my tooth and left money under my pillow . Actually there is a movie made for TV with Kirsty Alley in it about a Tooth Fair this was before she gained all the weight I know she plays the Tooth Fairy but I forgot the name of the movie it was came out around10 years ago.

I dont remember how/when i found out there was no such thing as the toothfairy, but she did come and visit me. I was the eldest of two kids. i have a little brother. i'm not sure if i teased him like your brother teased you or not. lol. i for some reason dont remember a lot of my childhood.. I could take a guess why.. but that's another discussion.. my husband and i have had a discussion about weather its right to lie to our children or not about things that ever kid gets lied to about.. we teach them not to lie but then we lie to them about santa easter bunny toothfairy.. Doesn't that send mixed signals when they figure it out?! haha i'm on the fence about this one.. I think my kids should enjoy the magical moments like every other kid who believes in santa and other holiday/fantasy characters.. but i also dont want to lie to them!!

Hi Sissygrl You have a good point there about wether or not tell your kids theres a Santa CLaus,Easter Bunny,Tooth Fairy, Great Pumpkin ect.... yes they should enjoy the moments of the holidays but I agree with you parents often tell there kids that there is a Santa Claus (knowing full well that there isn't one). But there are so many movies out that support the untruth that Santa Claus extists such as Miracle On 32nd St. (I think thats the one with Natalie Wood as a young girl) ...The Year Without A Sant Clause ,just to name a couple goodness knows there are 100's of movies and songs dedicated to this particular holiday. When I was a kid grownups used to come up to me around the holidays and say"What Is Santa Gonna Bring You For Christmas"? Or my parents would say on Christmans Eve if you don't go to sleep Santa won't come tonight.Sorry getting off the subject a bit I was supposed to be responding to the TOOTH FAIRY" :-) However the point being made is relevant to the subject matter of wether or not you should lie to your kids about fantasy characters being real. By the way Sissy is that a little red Dragon I see as your Avatar? LOL Its cute.

Hi cherry, thanks for the request! Its really an endless debate, on to tell your kids the truth or not.. i dont wanna lie to my kids, but i also dont wanna be the parent of the child whom walks around ruining it for all the other kids saying HAHA THERE IS NO SANTA!! hahhaa. Yeaps that's a dragon.. I used to have a different dragon, but i think i've lost him now as i formatted my computer lately.

i dont remember having been told of a tooth fairy when i was a child. what we had then was we have to put our tooth on the roof, so a new one will grow back. if we dont throw it on the roof, we will be forever toothless, that was what i remembered being told us. so every time i loose a tooth i always throw or put them on our roof, so i wont be toothless...

I don't as it's not part of our belief. It was until I was nine or something that I found out tooth fairy visit young children to give money for their teeth. Back then I already know it's not real but I can't help thinking, "I wish we belief it too then I have some money under my pillow when I wake up."

i didn't know friend. maybe because i live in a country with no belief of tooth fairy. it's a part of culture. i just saw in movies and read books about it.however, i don't believe anything about it.
