Is racial profiling ok?

My question to all of you is this: Is racial profiling ok? Is it a good or bad thing? Let me know what you think and why you think that. Are there certain instances that it is ok or is it always bad. Personally, I think racial profiling will happen because people are not perfect and sometimes racial profiling goes on to help protect the lives of others.
