This week it's the 40th anniversary of the Abbey Road album (their penultimate album) I love the Beatles and was wondering what are my fellow mylotters favourite Beatls songs?

This question just keeps coming up. I think my favorite Beatles song is "ob-la-di-obla-da." It's just a fun song. My other favorites are Maxwell's silver hammer, norweigian wood and here comes the sun. Man, alot happened in 69. I just heard it's the 40th anniversary of the internet, it's the 40 year anniversary of the Woodstock festival and now this.

Brilliant choices! Ob-la-di-ob-la-da and Maxwell's silver hammer are such fun songs and norwegian wood and here comes the sun and more relaxing/emotional.

I love most of the Beatles songs, but as long as I started thinking about it it came up that "Hey, Jude" is my favorite. It has it all: sensible lyrics, emotional message, soulful music! Jolly myLotting!

Hey Jude is, of course, a classic.

Im not a huge beatles fan but do like "Help!" and "Day Tripper". Both great songs, and of course, Day Tripper was covered by Whitesnake on their 1978 (Trouble) album.

This is a hard question because so many of their songs are great. I can remember my older sisters listening to the first few albums when I was little. One of their early songs that I've always really liked is Eight Days A Week. Almost everything on Sgt. Pepper's is good. But I'd have to say my all time favorite is Norwegian Wood. There's just something about the melody and the word play that has always appealed to me.
