I was sitting at work, bored as usual. I'm temping as a receptionist right now, so sometimes I zone out and stare at the phone. I noticed the option to turn it to a setting of pulse to dial or tone to dial. Most commonly, people use the tone setting. I remember MANY years ago when we used the pulse setting in my house because there used to be an extra charge to use tone (I think), but boy have times changed! Does anyone use the pulse setting to dial?? ... I can't imagine why anyone would use this. I certainly don't. It takes longer to dial and most telephone menus with prompts do not accept that method. I wonder if some of the teens today even know what a pulse setting is. What do you think, and what do you use??

I remember those phones with the pulse dials. I still have one up in our bedroom. I only use the touch tone setting though. Who has time for the pulse setting anymore? Not me!

Exactly, I agree. I don't even know if modern phones come with this setting anymore. I know cell phones don't!

Pulse settings, I forgot about those, you are bored. Here's a fun fact, cell phones do not have a dial tone. Pass it on.
