I used ATM for the first time after getting my first salary. My collague helped me to use ATM for the first time. I was a little scared when I went alone for the second time, but some how managed to get the money. The third time I couldn't insert the ATM card into the machine, but the security over there helped me to do that. Please share your first experience of using an ATM.

Hi Daliaj, this will come as a surprise to u. But I still dont know how to use ATM card. :( I saw people much younger withdraw moneys with their cards, but never had guts to ask them how to teach me. There was a colleague who promised to show me, and I was about to leave for withdrawing some moneys, just then something urgent cropped up. Thereafter, we could never coordinate our timings, and he left for a job out of city. I guess I am not destined to use these cards. :) Anyways, the new mantra I am told is the debit card. So I am now on a look out for a person who will show me how to use those. :)

Yes, it was a surprise to me. It is not a big deal. If somebody can show you once how to take the money using ATM, you can do it next time onwards. If you have an ATM card and pin number, you can go to any ATM and get the help of the security guard over there to withdraw the money. Make sure to go at a time when there is not much rush. All the best! You can learn it easily.

Hi Daliaj, I opened my account with a certain bank just because of ATM facility. It is boring to go to the bank within a fixed time interval to withdraw money. Actually my daughter taught me how to use the ATM card. After that my card got stuck up some times and I took the help of the security guard outside. Have a nice day

It is sweet that your daughter taught you how to use it. Yes, I also got the help of security guard many times. Once I left that card in the machine and left the place. The card came out, but I forgot to collect it. I went back once I remembered, showed my office ID card to the security and got it back. Thanks for the response.

My mother taught me how to use atm, but I am not interested to use it because I am scared that my card will be eaten by the machine. But when i am already working i have to use atm so that I could get my salary. At first I am scared but when I learned it I realize that it is easy to use.

Hi daliaj. I can't believe that you really had a hard time. I hope it is alright now and you have no more problem in using the machine. I have not experience withdrawing in the ATM before. They say it is very easy as long as you read the instructions and you type the amount and pin correctly. Maybe soon I will be able to use an ATM once I can find a job. Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I'll keep in mind that I'll bring a friend when going to withdraw in an Automated teller machine.

My first ATM experience, I went on my own. I've always knew how everything worked since whenever my mother used the ATM, she would take me with her. I would stand next to her and watch her press the buttons and money would come out. When I turned sixteen, I got my own bank account and finally get to use a ATM.

Hi Daliaj, No one helped me with an ATM machine the first time I used it. I just read and follow the instructions on the screen and presto, I got my money and my card. ATMs have clear instructions and it's so easy as 1,2,3. Well maybe some are scared at the thought of dealing with a machine that cannot answer question verbally if something goes wrong, but maybe they just need to assured that the instructions are very elementary that everyone can understand. There's also the fear of getting the card captured, but I guess this happens only when wrong PIN was entered for an allowed number of times - which is a built in control to protect the card owner. Peace!
