Is there an online job for a translator?

I master only two languages, Indonesian and English. I want to know is there an online job for translator? Since I work in the office but I also want an extra income from my skill. Thanks.

We have to pay for the membership in proz.com, quite expensive too for the membership

I think you will have to pay for memberships to bid on members only projects. You can bid on other translation jobs when you register for free. Correct me if I am wrong. I have registered free and I was able to contact the employer directly through mail.

Oh yeah I forgot. Why don't you try your local forums? In my country Malaysia there's a forum Wangcyber where there are forumers who look for people to translate from English to Bahasa Melayu. Why don't you try your local Indonesian forums? They wouldn't be so demanding as some of the foreign sites online.

Yes, if you can provide good translation and your cost is reasonable, then you can get those translation job from freelancer site. you can go to blogbloging.blogspot.com to find those information. By the way, before you bidding on the job, i suggest you make one sample, i mean find some article and translate it, so that you can provide them to your potential customer, it will increase the chances to get the translation job

I am quite sure there is. I am on the lookout my self on this topic. I am bi-lingual and my husband masters several languages also. So this could be quite interesting.
