Can I open a US Bank account as a non resident? What is the procedure?

There are some sites, which require to have a US bank account. For example, I need to send some money to my paypal account but I can not transfer funds from my country's bank account to my paypal account. Only US bank account can transfer an amount to paypal account. I think it would be good to have an account with a US bank. Any idea about the same? Thanks!

does your country have citibank or hsbc bank. I think they do offer such services.. you can check with you :)

There is similar problem here in my country too, but thank God for virtual terminal networks we can now open a US bank account successfulllly.
