I have been to Chennai once. That was some years ago. Chennai is a huge City, and even at that time the traffic in the City was very heavy. Lots of traffic congestion in some places. Yes, I know it can take a long time to cross the city limits. One other city in southeast Asia which has similar heavy traffic is Bangkok in Thailand. I was there once, and some times it takes more than an hour to pass through the city limits.

I faced this problem when i go to the Chennai to attend my B.E. Counseling at the Anna University. As, you know chennai you may know it. I gone to the bus stop. All the buses were crowded. It took more than a hour to get myself in to the bus even in standing. When i entered the city limit, it takes more than hour due to the more number of signals and due to traffic. Now, things are little changed due to the more number of fly over bridges but still traffic is uncontrollable. Also, due to the traffic, there is waste of fuel and also the smoke pollutes the air. Traffics leads to many other effects too,. Have a nice day.
