I really want to know why everyone is making such a big deal over him dying. Personally I could care less. Everywhere I look I hear about his death and whats being done about it. We have soldiers dying everyday fighting for our country, yet all that people want to talk about is how a rich pedophile that got off cause he had money died! Really why all the fuss???

Ok I am going to respond because I don't like to see hatred of anyone. I see you are a victim of the media or just clever. Yes you have soldiers dying for our country. To me there is some battle I wish our soldiers were not fighting. Calling someone a pedophile is not nice. There is always two side to a story unfortunatley I was not in the courtroom to hear both side. Unless you were then don't call someone one that because I have kids and I take those things personally. The media only gives nagative information because they thrive on people coming back. Unfortunatly not every one wants to hear the good in people. When we die I think people would like to talk about the good you did in your life. The man was a great entertainer. You should try listen to his lyrics then maybe you might change your mind. Try The man in the mirror, human nature, we are the world. He also fought for the peace in our country as well. He support the most charity for man kind. I bet your media don't tell you that. Search and you will find the truth. Happy lotting.

So I don't take someone being called a pedophile personally?? I have 3 children and 2 step-daughters (one of which has been molested btw) and am a victim of 3 pedophiles myself. When you here how a grown man enjoys having little boys over at his house for sleepovers combined with the fact that he has been accused of the actions, am i the only one to find that extremely suspicious?? Is it really that hard for people to see???

Well me start by saying sorry to hear that has happened to you and family members. I would not wish that on anyone. What I am trying to get people to see is not to just go by what the media says. They love negativly in the news. It is what they trive on. I am saying the man was not found guilty on both charges. The first one was a money settlement. This was after not guilty. I as a parent would want that person punished. Money is not going to help remove the scar from my childs emotions. This is also showing my child I did not care I just wanted the money. His name is not on any pediphile list. And yes I would not allow my children to spend the night alone with any man in a bed. Michael Jackson or not. We are only looking in on what the media is telling us. Why did they not talk about all the charities he supported and gave money for these children. Happy lotting.

You can't really say that Michael did that or not cause you were not there to see it happen so you can't actually blame him for that.

You are 100% right. I can even make this discussion a more general topic. Why should we care that this actress is having a baby or that this musician was arrested? We shouldn't. Yes, Jackson was pivotal in pop and rock n roll music, but this is over the top. Yes he is responsible for the music video and mtv, but he does not deserve this much attention.

Surely you mean you could NOT care less?? And if that's the case, why start the discussion?

mellissa2000, Why are you fussing the Fuss in the first place? Tabloids will always be Tabloids and celebrities will always be an item. If they are ever so popular and hot while they are alive, then it will be so with their passing. I share the sentiments of soldiers dying in war but I feel that the control on theirs or the lack of hype is understandable as there are many considerations here. Starting with security issues where compromising information may leak and be adverse to the occupational forces. However, like all, I think we need to be factual and careful with our allegations. For this discussion, I feel that you should get your facts right when MJ is no pedophile and that there were already accounts clearing him of that. Last but not least, it is really a matter of individualism where how celebrities are being remembered and adored. It is just not odd or strange that some are being more looked upon or fussed than others.

I understand what you're saying about many people dying for the cause, but you know, maybe michael jackson wasn't such a soldier, nor i doubt he can fight. but he gave us something, a legacy, a music..most specially an opportunity for other african-americans to walked to that bridge that he created for the black to be famous in their own fields and not just music. despite of that issue, he was also a hero, in his own..at least most of these soldiers got to enjoy their child-hood and real friends, well this guy never experienced that being an ordinary, that's why he created that never never land. well, am over it actually. but the music of his legacy moves on. that's it. have a great day..
