Should America have free health care and education

I pondered this thought for some time. I feel that Americans should have free health care as well as free education. First off I feel that we should not have to pay to stay healthy. This should be a necesity. I have been misdiagnosed a few time because I don't have health insurance. It seems to me that our health is not an important issue to our government. Now to education. I remember hearing the children are our future when I was growing up. There are a large number of kids who have talent that they never get a chance to tap into because they cant afford to go college to perfect them. I think by making education free it will stop kids from joining gangs and or turning to the streets. They should at least have the option to go to school. That option becomes unavailable to poverty stricken kids when tuition is thousands of dollars. Some kids turn to the streets when they feel they don't have an opportunity to do anything else. A good way to get this started is to incorporate a poverty tax. We have social security automatically taken from our checks and some people don't even live long enough to collect it. There are other taxes that are taken out that I don't even know what it's for. The poverty tax would be a tax that is paid when you make a hundred thousand dollars or more a year. This money would go to paying teachers and doctors. This way everyone would get equal health care and education. What do you think?

I've been to the ER a couple of times in the last few months, and received a bill of over $6000, and nobody can tell me what's wrong with me. I COMPLETELY agree with you, that health care should be free. Imagine all of the people in America who could be working right now if they had the proper health care. And as for education, definitely. The problem is is that all of the companies are too greedy, they want that money. As of right now, my husband and I can't afford to send our 2 kids to college, because we're barely scraping by. Between all of the household bills and the hospital bills it's ridiculous. I'm with you. FREE HEALTH CARE AND EDUCATION OT PROTECT THE FUTURE OF AMERICA!!!!
