Or do you even know what it is? Or maybe you use hypnosis or other related techniques. If so, would love to hear your thoughts on the matter and if it's helped you to achieve anything.

I think it is effective, but it does involve telling lies and being premeditated, and if a person sees how effective this can be, they are in danger of being consumed by it. Maybe you will think I am being melodramatic, but my brother has really sold his soul for NLP. There is nothing genuine about him any more and he admits himself that NLP appeals to those with sociopathic tendencies. I have seen the bad side of it, but I am sure you can use it positively and retain a sense of perspective!

Yep, that definitely makes sense and I've been through some very dark experiences myself from these 'sociopaths' (potentially) and it's a nasty experience which can cause a lot of damage. However, I actually used NLP in the self-help sort of way to overcome to damage of those experiences and to look at them in a different light.

I am still pretty much suffering the effects now ie. it plays on my mind a lot and I am a bit fed up in life because my brother used his sly techniques to slander family and his friends against me. This is the most upsetting part about it. If you would like to send me an NLP tip, some technique that was helpful to you, I would certainly be interested. I understand if you don't have time, so I must look it up on the internet sometime.

I'm really sorry to hear your still having a bad time. I'll send you a friend request and we can chat a bit more about it if you want. I'll tell you now NLP is not magic and it's not the solution to everything but there are a lot of useful techniques there that can help you deal with your emotions. You mentioned sociopathic tendencies, is this just a label that you have addressed your brother with personally? Or has he been diagnosed with any kind of personality disorder or dysfunction?
