I remember when I was a college freshman way back 2001, and it was early in the morning i was eager to go to school because things were going great for my academic performance, until i opened the Television and saw that terrible tragedy.. First tower hit, then another plane hit the other tower and saw people jumping from the window, until the two towers went down..just like that, then the war on terror went really in flames..i can't help remember this, a lot of innocent people lost their lives because of terrorist who cares less about people.. Remember the Victims..of Terrorism..

I think most people know and remember this occasion in America. Those killed in the events is innocent even the bomber is innocent because not aware the value of life of innocent people. We don't know if those people doing this will stop. Because as we shown to those people are not afraid to die. Because of their teaching of Islam. I don't understand about the teaching of Islam, if killing many people will Allah is benefited...? This should be resolve by Islam scholars to clearly explain the real motive of Islam or the teaching of Islam. If those next generation, is not learn the most concept of the teaching of Islam. Bombing incident is always threaten our security and more life will be sacrifices... Intervention of Islam society is one of the solution to this problems...

Yup! my friend, all atrocities and violence regarding to that effect will be resolve by our brother Muslim alone. Modern weapons will not stop that unless our Muslim brother clearly define the real teaching of Islam. If Muslim, doing such acts of activities or harm someone. Always reiterated that is for Allah. If they killed anyone else, always claimed that is for Allah. I don't know if there is a great Muslim, really understand those teaching. They should specifically teach that Allah, is not using as a reason of those activities. If they more Islam, cannot clearly understand those good teaching of Islam. Violence cannot be stop anymore... We do hope that our Brother, Muslim will intervene for those violence acts of there brothers to stop killing of innocent civilian.

Our Roman Catholic Church learned that Lesson when they were using their Authorities to reclaim Jerusalem, but in the end due to corruption and Negligence they were defeated in the end..and never got the holy land back. the Extermist should have learned that from us..but it seems they have other things in mind

I agree with you completely. I believe there's a problem with the society in terms of re-defining what self-sacrifice is really all about. that makes me wonder, if Islamic really do have power to change the faith of these extremist. a lot also had been killed in our country due to attempted claim on the tribal cities of pinoy muslims.

Woah, you saw it too as it happened?? I did. My parent's did too. It was really just a fluke that my parents decided to turn to CNN I think and watch the global news. The woman reporter was going through the rounds of her report and they had the Twin Towers as a background. Then the towers were hit. My parents thought it was a terrorist video that they were playing in the background. Imagine their surprise when the reporter saw it and they then knew that it was streaming live. I was only 11 years old and was also eating something at the dining table. I was also watching the tv. I really didnt understand it at first but watching my parents' horrified reactions told me that something was wrong in the news report. And yeah, afterwards I got to understand the meaning of the whole thing. It was indeed tragic..

yeah, its always good to remember and commemorate the lives of those we have lost because of a few people's doing. We just got to have respect for others' beliefs and learn to trust each other.

Yes I remember the 9/11 bombing of Twin Tower. And the pentagon too. I was shocked when I had seen it on TV from CNN. I did not believe, it can possibly happen. I don’t really believe it. There were many lives turns to waste and their victims who was saved still can’t erased the tragic event. I was shocked because it can happen to their country which is more successful and more modern country, it can happen to our country too. and even that kind of country did not escape that terrorism. It become the national problem, which is I think eversince , but it become worst and until the victims have not received any justice. No one will ever forget what happened.

Hi Let, I will never forget the day I saw the towers,I was doing my housework and put the tv on, I thought I was watching a movie when there was another plane going rightinto the second tower, I saw people shout for help waving their hankies out the window and some jumping out of it to their deaths, I was seeing peopling in their last moments of life, I was sicken as it was news showing live, I have had nightmares for months after that, then I was so angry so very angry of the terrorist to takesomemany lives and for what? if they want to killl themselves why don't they just shoot themsleves. I will never forget this day either.. I was 12 years old when it happened. And when I woke up to get ready for school my Mom was sitting on the edge of her bed watching the news. At that point only one plane had hit the building and I guess my grandpa used work in the building next door years and years ago (we live in california now). So my Mom was watching and I came to sit next to her and watch when suddenly the second plane hit the tower. I remember it felt really surreal to me and I didn't fully get what just happened. My Mom suddenly jumped off the bed and started yelling to my Dad 'Oh my God, we're under attack!'. It was really scary. I still had to go to school but all day the teachers had the news on and we all listened in silence. I will never forget this day...

Remembering the victims is a good idea. But remembering does nothing unless we become aware of why this happened and how to prevent it from happening again.

that's Correct, we got to learn from our mistakes, be vigilant with the people around us. well, a lot of things had been done to prevent such events from ever happening again. I think that's the reason that we have marshals now in each plane.

I was at work. I had just gashed my finger open on a utility knife and was on my way to the bathroom with my finger wrapped and bleeding. I had noticed that the music had stoped an all the radios and all I could here was unintelligable talking. A guy I worked with walked by and said to me, "hey1 did you hear?we're under attack, we're being bombed with our own planes as the missles!" Shortly after I was at the hospital, the nurse was bringing in regular updates for me while I was examined and stitched up. by that thime, the last plane had gone down in pensivania. I remember thinking, "this is going to change us forever". I was sent home for the day because they were concerned my wrapped and stitched finger would just get in the way and I was risking popping it open if I worked with it. I got home and my wife waas outside with a look of utter shock on her face. My neighbor's were outside talking, a few were crying. I walked numbly in to my house, cnn was on. By then the towers had alreday fallen. I looked on the tv and saw the gap wher the towers had been and my stomach lurched. I almost vomited right there. That was when the full scope of things hit me, and yes, I cried.

mike197601 is right buddy. his new topic says: "This is not about 9/11 as such because there will be plenty of discussions about the subject going up today I am sure." that happened in 2001 is a really tragic one.

Well, i hope these people have moved on now. it's hard to loose some one but i know it took them a while to get over their grief. some discussions about this are preventing me from talking sad things but think of just happy thoughts.

I truly hope that the victims are at peace now knowing that al-quiada is already at a loss with the recent big operation in Afghanistan.
