I have heard of farmtown or farmville which I know is a game that can be played on facebook. I also know a few mechanics but I have never played it. A lot of my friends are addicted to it and everytime they talk about it, I just could not relate to them. I feel I am outdated about it but I realize I have more important things to do online than playing.

I love playing farmtown and farmville. You really get so addicted to these games in facebook. Although you have to do things repeatedly it's the satisfaction of seeing your farms grow and leveling up that makes if fun. And you got the chance to decorate you farm the way you like it. Of course, you should know your time management so as not to neglect more important things you do.

I hope I can relate to you but as of this moment I only know a little idea how the game is played and what satisfaction it can give me. Maybe after a few days of playing it, I would be able to understand why people get addicted to it.

Well, I guess that bottom line is that when compared to most of the other online games at least this one is sort of educational, didatic or in the least original. Maybe that's what the appeal is all about. I personally don't play it either and also have a hard time accepting it became a trend.

I agree this is educational and original. Although is is educational in the sense that you learn a lot about farming and the crops that are seen in the farms and someone like me who is not into farming in real life would care less about farming or the crops.

believe or not, i joined facebook - mostly because i wanted to play Farmtown!.. and it is all because of my officemates, who are all neighbours in Farmtown.. it becomes sort of our 2nd. hangout, apart from meeting each other at the office - we now have another common thing to talk about at work, which is not 'work-related'.. sort of sharing the same hobby.. and you start making 'dates' to 'meet' on line.. at each other's farms... i also enjoy the fact that i can have other online-farmer-buddies, who i can visit and hire to work on my farm, and also ask for work - if they crops are ready to be harvested... it actually takes some time and effort to build up your farm.. and in time, you can also start 'teaching' and supporting newbies...

Hello Aicasalinks, Nice discussion. I also feel the same like you. My sisters, cousins and some of my blogger friends are so into those games in Facebook such as FarmVille, Farm town and pet society . They got the chance to own their farm in the internet world and they keep chatting on what they have harvest... Quite funny! And guess what my hubs is playing farm town too. For me, I don't fancy on any online games except Facebook Poker. But I am so busy until I have forgotten about the poker games for some times already. I don't have much time to play online games now. If you have the time I think playing games online can reduce your tension !

i play farm town and farmville whenever i am bored and have nothing else to do. i like planting and harvesting. lol. i haven't tried farming in real life that's why it's nice to experience it even if it's just through an online game/application. i like rearranging the trees in my farm. and the animals too. i still need to expand my farm to accommodate more plants and animals. i also want a bigger barn house and a bigger pond.

Maybe in time after playing it several days, I can relate to you. So far I have no idea how I could enjoy the game but my curiosity is telling me to try it.
