I'll judge my success in life by seeing where I am. If that's a place where I wanted to be career wise or relationship wise, then I would feel successful. If I'm dissapointed because of where I am, I'll think that I'm unsuccessful.

I agree with dmercedes , that the success is judged by the individual him/her self, it might have different meanings for the individual as in the earlier posts one of the friend said he has a goal of buying the sports bike and then as he achieved his goal makes him successful but that doesn't necessarily mean a success for other individual who might have a goal of owing a fleet of mercs ...
Another good example would be our billionaires their fortunes change a lot with the market conditions they gain millions when markets are up not too sure how successful they consider themselves after earning a million in a day , I would definitely consider my self successful if i manage even half of that so that totally up to the individual what he/she considers success.

For me, success in life can be measured by the happiness a person feels. No matter how rich and prosperous an individual is, if he/she is not happy with his/her life, then it still doesn't show any signs of success. People have different views in life. People do have different goals and ambitions in life. Whether it's a simple dream, as long as you are happy upon achieving that dream, then you are a successful person.

i think it depends on each person, friend. from the word 'success' itself, it means achieve a goal/ objective. my goals or objectives are many, one one them is to afford a new sports bike. i can be said success if i can have it for real. so, now i'm still not a successful person yet. :)
