It's really funny, we've been best friends for the past 5 years..
I gave her flowers, she never gave me any(I like orchids)
She insist I give her chocolate (she's lactose intolerant)
Took her Cat and asked $100 ransom ( I was just kidding, this was the first time I had a near death experience)
We date, I showed her the most spectacular show ( Fireflies mating season, the most spectacular light show)
We toured around Europe (Missing to stop by her parents house)
Nearly committed suicide by asking her parents for their blessing so that I can marry her.
Proposed to her and I only accept yes as the answer.
So did I not try to court her?

Have you ever tried collecting memorabilias from those event? Well why don't you ask her her ideal date. She might just want to catch your attention.

Hmm that's kind of strange. Maybe you should sit down and talk with her about what she thinks courting means. Maybe it's the little things that she is talking about like opening the doors or doing something for her when she is really tired. Coming from someone who is basically lactose intolerant I still like to eat ice cream and I do get upset a little with my boyfriend when he eats ice cream without me. I don't want to eat it by myself. Just because we aren't supposed to eat it, doesn't mean we never want to eat it. I think you should also talk to her about what you like too. I get my boyfriend flowers sometimes (only a couple though, he doesn't want to get a big bouquet). I don't see why she would think she shouldn't get you flowers or something to make you feel special to her too. I don't know if my advice will help but good luck.
