What is a turn-off as far as LOOKS go?

Of course, most of us would consider personality to be the most important factor in a potential boyfriend/girlfriend (or just hook-up). But then again, when you first meet people, their appearance is a major part of your first impression, and while we all weigh things differently, we all take physical appearance into account to some degree. So that's what we're talking about here- appearance. So. Is there any one thing that is usually a deal-breaker, as far as looks go? Is there one thing that you find really unattractive about how they look? For example, my friend always says he really can't go for girls with very crooked teeth. Even if they are otherwise pretty, he just can't get past that. So what things is it for you? What physical traits do you really consider a turn-off?

Im just really not good with beards and PIERCINGS for men. Though some men a beard fits them, but in most cases i dont find it attractive. I do though love men in shirts, i find it appealing, thanks for my boyfriend often wears shirts for work :P

Yeah I agree- only a few guys look good with beards. Well, actually I do sometimes like guys who leave some stubble or whatever, but not like a full beard.

Exactly, very few look nice with beard, thoug some faces look better with beard. Im trying to see if i can remember any examples on the top of my head. Have you watched CSI LA? If so then Gil Grissom looks certainly better with beard than he does without...

Yeah it works for him. A lot of the time I think older men look better with beards than younger guys. If you're like 20, it just doesn't look good [usually].

yes, u are right there. a person's appearance is a major part of my first impression. i am attracted to someone who looks and smells clean. it makes me take a second or third look if i see someone who dresses neatly and well groomed. it really impresses me to see how clean his fingernails are, how smooth the skin is and how clean the shoes he is wearing. the opposite to the above is what really i consider turn-offs.

Yeah that will all make a good impression. Having good skin can make a big difference sometimes.

To be honest, it might affected me a bit. It's not that I am being picky but it's an automatic response However, as time pass by, I am attracted to his personality. I can say my turn off is a guy with cross eyes. But once I get to know him better, my perception might change.

That would be long finger nails! I just don't know, I feel uneasy or uncomfortable when I see long fingernails. Mustache too for girls... it would be weird if her mustache is rubbing against lips! haha!

Haha a mustache is DEFINITELY a bad look for girls! At least that's pretty uncommon.

well probably my guy would like go into smoking and would be in constant halitosis and really bad teeth that would totally turn me off. Aside that its a bad habit I have the the thought that I would turn out to become a second hand smoker if he keeps on doing that so major turn off for me is this.

Yeah a lot of people find smoking to be very unattractive or even a deal-breaker. I don't mind dating someone who smokes as long as they don't do it so much that they smell like smoke and whatnot. Like, it shouldn't be obvious that they smoke until they tell you or smoke in front of you. And hopefully they would only do it outside.
