Is it really possible to give up your job and earn a living at home on your pc?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I'd really love to hear peoples views. I have been on the Internet since about 1996 and have tried many different ways to make money. Ebay was a great start for me, but sadly over the last few years it has tailed off. I have also signed up to many affiliate sites and designed numerous websites, but the money isn't overwhelming. I gave up my job in IT last year to work at home on web publishing/design, but all isn't a bed of roses. I mean I'd rather be doing this than having to commute each day but have others found it just as difficult, or am I doing something wrong?? Cheers Steve

My answer will be a big 'NO'. I am some one who loved to work from home rather than going to the office & work, however I realized that this is not possible. If you really make enough money to earn living, then you are among the few lucky people online. You can earn around $100 if you work hard & if you succeed in getting referrals & I don't think you can make a nice living with this amount. Happy Lotting

I tend to agree with you. Unless you can automate something - it isn't possible to manually make a huge amount of money on the net.
