Lifting up Hands in Praise to Him

What does lifting up your hands in praise mean to you? Are you only prompted by the Spirit? Is it a part of your daily devotional time with Him? Are you allowed to lift up your hands during song services at your Church?
In Ps. 63:4 says,"I will lift up my hands in your name".Then in Lamentation 3:41 it says,"let us lift up our hearts and hands to God in heaven".
For me, when I lift up my hands in praise, where ever I may be, I feel that I'm giving my all to Him, because He is worthy. How about you? How do you feel when you lift up your hands to Him in praise? Love to hear your side.

usually people lift their hands in ecstasy. though i thank god and praise him, i dont usually lift my hands. I just thank him every now and then with palms closed in prayer.
