What is your favorite home cooked meal?

Everyone must have had at least one home cooked meal. I know I did. And I'd have to say from my moms vast cookbook her chicken biriyani has to be the best I've tasted. The chicken is always cooked perfectly , with its flavorful tender meat. It goes so well with the raita ( like a yogurt salad dressing) she makes her self made of onions, coriander and green chillies. Well I've said enough about my favorite. Tell me your favorite home cooked meal also Who cooks it?

WHenever i am at home i just love my mom's hand made food, she cooks really well and whatever she cooks i just love that.My favourite home made food is roasted lamb in tamrind and rice.She just makes it boundless and really really wonderfull, aah! i am missing home and mom today.

Wow - your mom's home-cooked meal sounds delicious! There are so many yummy home-cooked meals, it's tough for me to choose.
I love to make homemade macaroni and cheese....there's just something about it. It sounds so simple, so easy....but bringing all the ingredients together just right to create a creamy, delightfully cheesy dish is so rewarding. Any my family loves to eat it - ALL of my family - siblings, kids, parents, hubby. I guess that's part of it, too - sharing not only a warm, home cooked meal....but sharing the love we have for one another too.

My favorite home cooked meal is my mom's masala dosa... its a traditional South Indian dish.. wow.. inside the crispy dosa , she will put masala(curry made of cooked potatoes ,onions with spices n garnish) n she will apply ghee on both sides of the dosa.. it will taste so good.. In karnataka ,for masala dosa first they will apply red chutney(made of red chillies,garlic and salt)very very spicy one then they will put the masala... it will be very hot..
Sometimes when my mom feels lazy to do red chutney she will put the idly powder then masala ..this will also taste good... now even i know to do masala dosa ..the taste will be as my mom does it.. its my husbands favorite.. :)
