Will you do this?

I had just read an article on Yahoo! on a Korean artist, Rain's dieting. You can see below for the article: Rain swears off "scary, horrible" dieting According to Korean media reports, during a recent interview with a television station, South Korean pop singer-dancer-actor, Rain, revealed his strict dietary meals during the filming for his upcoming Hollywood movie, Ninja Assassin. He exclaimed that the meals were "scary, horrible" and "never wants to do it again!" Talk of his fearful dietary meals instilled so much fear in the performer that he shivers in fear at the mere mention of it. To portray a thinner and leaner body frame for the movie, he started undergoing special training sessions two months before filming began. He faced strict restrictions on his dietary habits and was limited to eating only salmon, chicken breast meat and some nuts. Although this diet successfully helped Rain to shed 10kg for the movie, the food-lover underwent considerable pain and suffering to attain the weight-loss. "Whenever I think about that period of time, I feel really scared. I do not want to do this again -especially when food is sacred to me. It is too painful to have your diet limited and controlled." Link from http://sg.news.yahoo.com/xin/20090915/ten-856-rain-swears-scary-horrible-dieti-3c1b9bc.html Well, I thought it is simply horrible just to shed 10kg. It's really unimaginable how people can accept such diets just to lose weight. Well, I will certainly not do it. So what do you all think of such diets? Will you do it to achieve your ideal weight?

i know Rain but i'm just wondering why he needs to loose 10kg. he's always been slim for what i see. i wonder how he looks right now with the 10kgs off. anyway, the link you provide is no longer existing.. I eat what i want to eat. I never wanted to go on diet especially if it will affect me psychologically and give stress. Some people go on these kinds of diets to loose weight 2times faster but i think it's not a good way since one's body will need to undergo abrupt changes. it's a good thing for me not to be hooked with those fattening and salty food. I'd prefer to eat fruits for snacks rather than some chips that are too salty or greasy. I eat these because it's what my tongue likes and not because of diet. I like meat but i easily get tired of the taste so i cannot eat meat for 2days straight. Although there's one thing i can't live without..chocolates..black ones.LoL! have a nice day^^;;

Yes, I'm also wondering the same things when I read the article. He's quite slim, so it's really quite hard to understand why they will need him to lose another 10kg. As for the link, I think I understand why it don't work, but it's okay, as the whole article is actually as per those in italics above. I do think that you're right. I do not like to go on diet as well, as it's very hard to control yourself of what to eat, and what not to eat. It's really very terrible to be on a fixed diet. I had experienced that, and really feel pity for Rain for having to endure that. However, I guess that that's also one of the cons for artistes, as they need to look good on screen, and thus have to make sacrifice for it...

being an entertainer has really have a lot of consequences as one should need to sacrifice its own health or pleasure to satisfy their fans or enable them to lead in a movie. i wonder why how long Rain had endured that.. i would not last a week if i were him.
