Do you know any good ways to advertise?

Ok so some of you may remember a discussion I started a while ago about starting with an affiliate maketing company. Anyway, I have tried advertising through twitter & also buying advertising credits with monies I've earned through my ptc sites as well as letting all of you lovely mylotters know. I still haven't had any luck in finding people that are interested in signing up or even buying products from Amazon through my site. Anyway my question to you is...do you know any goods free or cheap advertising that would help me? Thanks heaps in advance.
