They always say death comes in threes...and this week that seems to be all so true. First we had Patrick Swayze, then Henry Gibson and now Mary Travers - that would make 3. Who could forget Patrick Swayze, the brave actor who starred in "Ghost", "Dirty Dancing", and "Roadhouse" who faced his cancer ordeal head on, fighting every step of the way for as long as he could; finally succumbing to pancreatic cancer on September 14, 2009. Then there was Henry Gibson, known for starring on "Laugh In" and "Boston Legal", and many other supporting roles on tv shows and movies, who died of cancer on September 14, 2009, a week before his 74th birthday. And then finally there was Mary Travers, member of the folk group "Peter, Paul and Mary", along with Peter Yarrow and Noel "Paul" Stookey. Peter, Paul and Mary was one of the most successful folk-singing groups of the 1960s. She was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2005 but received a bone marrow transplant which seemed to have worked. Unfortunately, on September 16, 2009 she died from complications arising from chemotherapy treatment. I offer my prayers for them and their families, and hope that they all rest in peace. Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!
