Which side of the cup has got its handle?

Well, I love to keep thinking about the crazy things. This is one of the craziest thought passed by my brain. Where do you think the handle of the cup is located? Can you exactly name the side to which it is stick to the cup(coffee cup, tea cup, beer mug/jug, etc.)?
Well, all of us have the habit of drinking something like tea, coffee, beer, etc. Have you ever reason about which side of the mug/cup you are drinking has got its handle?

i guess that would depend on whether you are left or right handed. i am ambidexterous, so either side for me i guess. most people are right handed though so i guess that popular consensus would be that the handle is on the right side

Well, I think the handle will be on the right side. No matter with what hand you lift it, as you are lifting it with the handle on your hand, it must be on the right side. Right doesn't mean right hand side, but on the correct (right) side.
