Mac OSX snow leopard is out and Windows 7 arriving 22nd of next month. What do u think who will win the war. Microsoft will be aimimg to regain its reputation which was crushed by vista while apple will be aiming to increase its OS share which saw a little increase with the worldwide criticizm of Vista. Windows 7 is the refined version of windows vista and uses the same core technologies. Microsoft has amazingly fine tuned the UI as well as sped up the boot, sleep and shutdown times while on the other hand apple has changed the way how things work internally and introduced some new UI features like expose etc. Will the users trust windows again after the 'vista incident' or will the roar of snow leopard be heard at most of computers. Whom do you chose?

windows will of course still rule the market, but there is no denying that snow leopard is vastly better than 7. As we speak i am using an RC of windows 7 and enjoying it very much, i think it's everything vista should have been and a brilliant operating system. having said that, if i could afford a mac, i would have no hesitation jumping ship to apple.

It is rather hard to compare Window 7 and Snow Leopard. This is because Window 7 is a huge improvement and upgrade from the horrible Vista, while the Snow Leopard is just a "behind-the-scene" upgrade from Leopard, with many speed optimization. I guess Window will still be the market leader, but if Apple manage to sort of integrate Window inter Mac and offer a solution better than Boot Camp, I am pretty sure many people will jump ship to Apple.
