How many were successfuly in quitting smoking?

So many people in the world say they would qui smoking but very few are able to do so, did anyone who smoked tried quitting, what efforts did you put into and how many were succcessful in doing the same.

yes i quit smoking 3 years ago after watching my mother in law die of cancer it made me think and my husband too we both quit on the same day we just sat them down and every time we wanted a cig we would put a jolly rancher candy in our mouth and that was a cig but i also found that it wasn't the cig i missed it was the habits i had that i had to have a cig

I know of 1 person who quit smoking, with success - my brother. He used Champix. My husband and I are still smoking but I think we should really try to do it soonest. Our kids are complaining a lot. I think, I have to have that willpower to quit. In my mind, I have not yet made a decision. Bad, I know...

Hello hireshd.Well you know i am the one i think i have almost left smoking totally, its just that sometimes in 4 months and all i smoke one.Before when i started amoking and when it became my addiction i use to smoke 2 packets a day that means almost 40 ciggis a day and that made my life horrible that time, but gradually when i decided that it is not good for me i left it totally now and am happy trust me i am just so happy.
