music of today are getting senseless?

Actually, I don't like the tunes. In fact I don't listen to today's music enough where I can even comment on the words. I also can't say ALL songs in our day had meaning but I think more of them did then they do now. We had Harry Chapin with "cat's in gthe cradle," a song about a dad who doesn't have time to spend with his kid, and the son says I'm going to be like him. Then, the father retires, the son's moved away and now the father is trying to see him and the son doesn't have time. So in fact he turned out just like him. The story of a boy born in hard time Missisisppi,,decides to go to New York and runs into more trouble there. You juat don't have those story songs.

I agree with you. Nowadays I still listen to classic musics,and it takes me back to the time when a music was about meaning. And now, it seems like the music is all about rhythm. Sometimes I think that rap songs is barely even called a song, since it is like a speech but with backlayered of musical instruments. I don't think it does make any sense. =) I really enjoy listening to classic musics, with its original instruments, original lyrics, and original meaning. =)

Nowadays Music is the increasing day by day every where and becoming senseless, this is one music that too i like enough time has so much memories in wedding invitation any where so that music is growing more and more and classical songs and its lyrics are also good.

Nowadays music is the best and its increasing day by day in the world, there is the songs that too talk about her daughter getting married before the wedding time he remembered all her worries and memories and her daughter is about the age 18 and at the end his kiss is good.

it's free market everywhere...the consumers can dictate what will be be profitable in the market. So when we say music today is getting senseless.. I say, we are also at fault because a lot of people are buying the records. People need to get involve and be more responsible in which kind of music should they listen to or buy...and the web is a great way to influence the peoples choices be it in music, arts etc.

so many "musicians" today use synthesized instruments and sounds it doesnt even sound like music anymore. also its as if they have given up vocal practice they either sound like they are talking or their voices are synthed as well. how can you consider yourself a musician or artist if you dont actually sing and some producer in a studio spend ten minutes throwing sounds together for the rest of the track.
