My eyes are sore & my throat is clogged UGH!!

Why?? Because here in south east queensland, we had a dust storm - it's now 9 pm & the dust is just starting to clear.This dust has come from the desert & covered quite a lot of New South Wales & Queensland. It was a hot day so when I was at home, I couldn't really suffocate myself & my daughter by closing the windows & doors so I have just had to deal with it - plus I was in & out mnost of the day too. OH MY GOODNESS! We got this in Canberra yesterday and it was bleedin' awful. xP It stormed too, so the dust mixed with the rain and it..."mudded", I guess you could say. Nasty weather...the dust made it seem like it was sunset for the whole day, so when I woke up at 8am, I thought it was 5pm and I had missed all my classes.
After the initial "OH MY GOD I THINK I MISSED A TEST", I looked at the clock and realised it was still the morning. But seriously, the craziest weather EVER. So much for "spring".

It doesn't surprise me that you got it in Canberra coz I think it was coming from South Australia. We were lucky enough not to wake up to it like you did - it started coming over about lunchtime here. I am still feeling it in my throat this morning & you should have seen the color of the contents of my vacuum when I vacuumed this morning. I also normally have white tiles but they are looking like a terracotta color now lol. I think I will have to mop :(
