I read this news on msn and found that a russian tycoon is interested in buying the new jersey nets. A question to everyone here. Is such tycoons who are buying-out NBA teams good or bad? Actually it happens everywhere in every sports. Tycoons buy into football clubs too, just like the american owners like the glazers who own Man Utd, tom hicks and george gillet who own Liverpool. So situations like such, is it good for the clubs future or are they just buying clubs and teams to make money from it?

I wouldn't doubt this Russian Tycoon is out to buy the New Jersey Nets to make money off of them! I believe this Russian Tycoon has made so many investment over in Russia and other countries he now wants to try it in the USA! I can't see it being good for the NBA in the long run! I'm sure Commissioner David stern will look into this very closely to see if will be good for the NBA or not! So will the rest of the NBA owners! I'm sure other pro sports teams are going to keep their eyes on this situation, too, to see what happens!

Yeah, quite true. I am interested to know how owners keep the teams running though.
