Hey guys! I just want to know your opinions about one thing people want to do in facebook. most of the time i feel that some people are just bragging about what they are doing what their schedule for the week are, what they are eating or where they are in facebook. Is it just me or any of you feels that as well? I want to hear from any one of you.

i know what you mean but sites like such as myspace and everything is what its mostly for for people to try and show and and make them selves look cool on the internet facebook is some peoples lives i know people that will stay on facebook or myspace for hours a day there is not the much that you could possibly do on there for 4 hours at a time its just ridiculess but its what helps people not be bored i guess and for others its just addicting.

I agree!a lot of people I know spend like 8 hours in facebook, playing, or chatting. There's a lot of application that you can play or do, but sometimes its not good anymore, because its a waste of time. I have a facebook account and I don't really spend so much time in there, but i can't deny the fact that its one of the best communication with your long lost friends. But not to show off your new dress or your expensive food!

Well, that may be true but then as we know, facebook is a form of blogging. I guess that was the reason why all we see there are those kind of stuffs. I must admit I'm also like that sometimes. I often put there the way I feel for the day, the things that puzzles me and others.

Hello jremolacio, I would have to disagree with you on the "bragging" theory and go more with "sharing" as someone above stated. Facebook, unlike Myspace, which was made more to conncet with friends NEW and OLD; was made to reconnect with old friends, at least those you would like to keep in contact with. And sometimes those friends are far away from you and life gets in the way of having time for phone calls and such. Facebook allows me to stay in touch with their daily lives...and I for one don't mind finding out how my good friend is feeling that day, good or bad. I also don't mind about finding out if they bought a new car or are eating at a fancy restaurant, I am happy for them..because I know my friends worked hard to have what they have and to be where they are today. Another think\g I use my status update for is to post positive quotes ~ that way when people see my postings it gives them a bit of an uplift to their day.

I went on Facebook and found all of my old friends from high school. I may check my page once a week, if then. But I don't see the point in logging on everyday. I mean, while I like the people I used to hang out with, I don't really care about what they ate for breakfast. I don't really care if they are late for work. I would rather have a conversation with them on the phone, or through an e-mail. I agree with you. I think that Facebook or MySpace is just for "bragging".

yes that's exactly what people do! To be honest I am not generally impressed by anything those kind of people have to say as I don't like show offs.

Well, infairness to those people, i still want to give them the benefit of the doubt, sometimes i want to think that they don't know that are showing off already. the thing is that its hard to tell them that they are already showing off because they are your friends plus the fact that maybe they are not showing off, their just sharing! haha

No, you're not alone. I do have that kind of person in my friend list lol. I think it is so narcisstic (spelling?) and annoying. I mean, who cares if they have chinese food for lunch? I dont understand why they think it's important for us to know. I definitely hide their status to preven them flooding my facebook.

Yeah! I have one friend in facebook who loves updating everybody what she's eating omakase and she will be going to this expensive restaurant after work! What's up with that??? does she have to even mention that...she can say that she's exciting and stuff but in a way that she doesn't sound showing off...well thats her!

I get irritated with people bragging on Facebook. I just stopped visiting Facebook for awhile. Its so childish to brag.

Yes, most of my friend is also braggin in facebook. Like how happy they are with their girl friend now in some fancy restrant. Or Majestic their car is. And you, some time reading this just make me angry. Is not i jealos with what they have, but reading their glory every 5 minutes just make me sick. But there are also people who do facebook simply to just show how sad they are. Like how they get yell at boss, how his girlfriend dump him, and all the sad thing in him. And that, i also dont like, especially if they do it every 5 minuts. I mean, i can only set status if there is something big or if i do really need to change my status. Oh well, is their facebook, and is their right. What can i say :(
