I haven't seen Barca play in quite some time, but the recent inflow of Real Madrid discussions made me watch them so I can create some discussions concerning Barca too. The football played on "La Rosaleda" this evening was pretty good, with a good pace, but with no chances to score for Malaga - not even on shot on goal for them. Barca scored by Ibrahimovic (from a possible off-side position) and Pique, while Messi couldn't score alone in front of the 'keeper just before the final whistle. FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are the only teams to have won all the games of the 2009-2010 La Liga, but R. Madrid went on top of the tables because they only have 2 goals scored against while Barcelona have 3. Any thought on this match?

Hi stvasile, I didn't watch this game because it is play on the wee hours here. I felt too sleepy lately. But it is very interesting to see if others team can break a domination by Barcelona and Real Madrid in La Liga this season. I think Sevilla and Valencia are the only team can do it but I don't think they can match. The La Liga crown might be decided at Nou Camp and Bernabau. The team that have advantage in this fixture will win the trophy. It is very interesting in La Liga because the face off between the team will be count (instead of goal difference) in case of there is same points accumulate at the end of the season to determine the champion.

The direct confrontations may be decisive in establishing the champion, but usually the difference was made by the points lost to smaller clubs that surprise us by managing to draw or even win against the titans.

I didn't watch the match but I've already watched some others of Barcelona this season. They kept very faithful to last season's philosophy with a change on one or two key players, so all the conditions for success are there to be reached again. Real Madrid gets the hype, we'll be getting the titles ;)

For now, it's only a goal between the two clubs... It will be interesting to see what happens when one of them will lose some points: will it be enough for the other, or the team ahead will be under even more pressure such as not to lose the advantage?
