As i watched the news on TV a while ago, it was so painful to hear that most of the place in Luzon was affected by the typhoon ONDOY... I really wanted to help but i was so far from there in LUZON... The only thing that i could do is to pray and pray...hope everybody that will see my message will do the same...

Hi tinsky, well prayer really does help. I was in laguna when the storm hits, and our house got flooded, like almost all of the houses in our area... Well, good thing the rain stopped eventually and the flood subsided.. we also lost electricity, but when it was returned, we were shocked by the extent of damage done by the storm to the city... For those of us who really can't give help or volunteer, prayer is all we have.. But don't forget the powers of prayer.

I know.. we are really lucky that we are not anywhere near the disaster... During these times, you would be really thankful for all the things that you have.. just having a roof over your head is really a blessing already.

About the news. If you watch and listen to it. All you can hear is NDCC.. (National Disaster Coordinating Council) And it really pisses me off. Why? Because they live up to their name. All they do is Coordinate.
I mean they spend time talking, talking, talking, bragging, bragging, and bragging some more about how ready they are on the matter. They brag off 13 life boats.. I mean a cruise ship have more life boats than that.

Did you hear what Teodoro said in there interview? He said (" We have enough equipments for rescue as of the moment") But the'll do the rescuing the next day... I mean DAMN!!
Maybe he meant they have enough for them selves as of the moment. Leave the people behind for now and when the dust settle let's rescue them..

Hello Tinsky, and welcome to MyLot. I am in the US, and I have been hearing much about the havoc caused in the Philippines by this typhoon.
My prayers are with all who reside there, that God will keep safe as many people as possible and bolster their faith and courage.
Bless you all,
Karen

We were greatly affected by typhoon Ondoy and thanks to the NGOs who really helped the victims of the said typhoon. It's sad to think though that the NDCC NCR only have more or less 50 rubber boats and wasn't able to respond to almost 450,000 victims.
