Microsoft and AOL giving away money just to send an email?

It was on USA Today. Did you get this email? Have you been paid? Is it legit? The only thing I know is supposed to be a beta test. Sounds just way too easy but Bill Gates can afford it.

Did you actually see it on USA Today? This has been a scam circulating on the internet for years, unless it's something different. How would they even know you were sending emails? If you go to www.snopes.com/inboxer/nothing/microsoft-aol.asp you can read all about the scam.

This would be really good if it is legit & if it's available to people worldwide because then we could ALL join in & get paid for sending emails...I agree with you too that there is no doubt that Bill Gates can afford it.

I just got an email today saying Ericsson was giving away laptops. Why are scammers taking advantage of this bad economy and people? This is probably not going to happen either, even if Bill can afford it. I wrote Ericsson and they told me its a scam.

This is so true & the amount of emails that I have recieved about me winning the lottery in Europe, UK & USA that I haven't entered (plus I'm in Australia)!! I'd be well off financially if I had a penny for each of those emails lol.

Nothing to sign up. You just have to foward the email to as many people as you can and they are supposed to track it. I dont know how this relates to money.

Don't know about that but did read that here in Los Angeles City Hall or wherever runs the City of LA... the two of them are literally having some kind of war between them to see which gets the contract to "upgrade" the city's email system.

Maybe the scammer read that too and put out this chain email. Who knows but thanks for info.
