do customs check chinese snacks?

i have got some kinds of really delicious chinese snacks and some time later i will have my own website. i want to put the snacks on the webster amd sell them to people worldside. but i hear that customs will check them and return some of them to you and charge you money for that! what can i do, if that happens! how much will i lose if customs return my goods to me!
