You should go for AMD if you are a gamer that was AMD designed for. Just make sure you have enough cooling systems on that because AMD requires well designed cooling system for better performance. If you are just average user go for Intel although they could run better with games but not as good as AMD. And also AMD sucks with internet performance we have done testing comparison with the two and Intel performs better with internet I don't know what technology Intel has done to have an edge with AMD regarding Internet connection that's what we have noticed.

You are welcome. With regards to video card if you have enough money go for crossfire/SLI Nvidia is good but I prefer ATI because it's an AMD product already so compatibility issues resolved by them.

yeah, i agree with kryptoscode..if you really can afford to get a crossfire, got for it.. and AMD is a lot much better with nvidia.. i work as a tech for one of teh best computer manufacturer in the US and that is one of the major problems that we have.. there a lot of compaitbility issues with nvidia..

intel is better.because inter's Compatible is better.the best important for computer is compatible.ever i repeat installing my os, but amd computer not let me finish.of course, now AMD' compatible become better.but inter do much work,so i believe it.i think AMD should Develop moving computer CPU,and that is it's Advantage, AMD can let CPU Energy little.thanks for see my comment.

Well, personally I prefer Intel (just because i use it) Yes, as some ppl said above, it will depend on your budget. For me, I spent $1200 (tax incld.) for my gaming pc. Content: Antec 900 case Coolmaster 600W BFG GTS 250 512mb Seagate 500gb LG dvd drive 4 gb kingston ram Asus P5Q E mobo Intel Q9450 quad core You can now find newer and better processors from Intel such as the i7 series, and they are now releasing a cheaper one, the i5

my choice to use AMD will work smart for gaming and graphics area(3D Max,Maya,..).it produce enough heat while working country like USA,UK,AUSTRALIA and countries in north pole area which accept the heat of the processor and work fine.but country like India,Arabia,Dubai,Singapore, gulf are too heat for that we must use intel processor which produce less heat and work in 100 degree temperature.final request for gaming use AMD while you are in north pole and use Intel for application process and in moderate temperature like India

first of all your criteria in value=performance is it based on high-end spec or mid-end spec if I may know? below are my fav spec in terms of value=performance pc for gamers : high end spec: - Intel Core2xtreme / Intel i7 Xtreme - high grade motherboards (gigabyte/asus/DFI) - min 4gb kits RAM (DDR2) or min 6gb kits RAM (DDR3) - VGA ATI HD 4770/ HD4870/HD 4870X2 (no need for Crossfire, coz its powerfull enough already IMO) Mid End Spec : - AMD Phenom X4 / AMD Phenom II X4 - point 2,3,and 4 are the same as above :peace: in terms of the price..... Intel based always higher than AMD in the markets ..... coz Intel is way more powerfull than AMD IMO :peace: anyway happy building your new RIG :shakehand:
