Can we use a TV as a Monitor...?

hi...mylotters.. here is a questions can we use our TV as a computer monitor.. and if yes..then how we use it.. and what we need to attach the TV...to working as a monitor.. will there is any need of hardware to using TV as a monitor..please share your valuable response..

Yes if you have the high definition LCD tv you can directly connect it to the CPU and use this, u will only need the data cable. but if you have the CRT tv. you have to use some specific hardware, but you will not get the good result as the tv supports 680 by 480 resolution only.

As far as i know you can do this but you will not be able to see it exactly as you are expecting . a general crt monitor only support 680*480 and you dont want this resolution even after you get the way to connect it to your CPU. so i dont think it will not be good to use your tv as monitor
