Have you ever been to Couples Counseling?

Well I've personally never gone but I would like too. I hear it is a good idea to get couple's counseling before marriage. I think it works, I just think it depends on the counselor. Like everything there are good and bad people in the job area. Some counselors are terrible at what they do and others are great. It just depends I guess.

My husband and I have a great marriage, but we have some past baggage that we dind't want to come up in our relationship, so we went to councelling just for "marriage maintainence" as my husband and I put it. it was a great idea. At first the councellor didn't know why the hell we were there, but by the end of the sessions he thought what we did was a great thing.

Yes, hubby and I went once. It's a long story but luckily we were able to work things out and now we're fine. It does work in huge ways because it gets both parties to talk and really tell what they're feeling and why.

Hello 34momma, I have never been in a couples counseling. Good thing, in our almost five years of marriage, we haven't reach the point of needing a counseling. We just talk our problems out. But I guess it would work, if both of the couple is open minded in doing the advice that was given. and also if they would be open with each other. have fun mylotting!
